I am referring to the region, not the actual peninsula which only contains Norway and Sweden

The region of scandinavia still doesn’t include finland. It includes denmark.

Cool quiz, but where on Earth did you find that Karelia is disputed between Russia and Finland? Republic of Karelia is universally recognized as a part of Russia.

Perhaps not the entirety of the region, but parts of Karelia were seized by Russia from Finland during the Winter War, leading to some disputes.
