Guess the 1960s song lyrics #151

*First line is the duo's name. 1966. Isaac Hayes was a cowriter of this song. The song title came about when Hayes was trying to get fellow writer Porter to hurry up in the restroom and get back to song writing. A revamped version was created for the Louisian governor's reelection campaign in 1982. Booker T and the MGs provided instruments. This duo simply went by their first names.
