Guess the 1960s song lyrics #228

*First line is the artist name. 1964. This song was written by an R&B artist and Milton Bennett. It was first recorded by the writer's wife. That's the version listed here. The same year it was recorded and released by the Moody Blues. The original version was much more soulful than the Moody Blues version. Once you know the artist's name check out this version on YouTube. It's worth a listen.
