*First line is the artist name. 1965. One of the greatest songwriters ever. He has written many of the songs in this series. This song was written after a tour when he was feeling disheartened, cynical, and considering quitting music. This song completed his transformation from folk to rock. Rolling Stone (fittingly) named it #1 on their list of the 500 greatest songs. In 2014, the artist's handwritten lyrics to this song were auctioned for $2 million.
