*First line is the band name. 1966. Garage rock song. Cleveland, Ohio band led by Tom King. They were founded as an R&B group called the Starfires. This was their biggest hit. Tom King's uncle owned the record studio that produced the song. After recording it, they signed with Capitol Records which made King an outsider in his own family. Thus, the band changed its name.
