Guess the 1960s song lyrics #337

*First line is the artist name. 1968. This song was released in August 1968 and voiced the sadness many felt after the assassinations of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. earlier in the year. The song itself is a tribute to the memory of four assassinated Americans, all icons of social change: This song has been covered by many. The most popular version was done by this singer who professionally went by only his first name, last name DiMuccih. He had many hits in the 50s and 60s. In 1968 he had just gotten clean from a heroin addiction.
