*First line is the band name. 1963. This band were all active duty Marine Corps members when this song was recorded as was the songwriter who wrote the song at the request of one of the band members. The songwriter said the song's rhythm was inspired by the sound of the Teletype machines in the communications office at Camp Lejeune. Although this song was the B side, it hit #1 on both the pop and R&B charts.
