1968-69.This song by this British band is a true iconic 1960s psychedelic hit. It never charted in the UK prompting band member and songwritr to say that it became "a classic in the UK, but it's never been a hit." It actually became a hit in the US more than a year after the band broke up. This song has been featured on countless soundtracks to tv shows and movies including 1969, Cruella, and Friends. The song includes a call and response style.
