Thanks for the feedback so far, everyone! I'm a longtime quiz-taker on Jetpunk (10 years at least?) but very new at quiz-making.

Changed the type-ins so that USSR should work now for the Soviet Union.

"Not universally recognized as an independent nation" is not an adequate note for the territory it's referring to (the one with 3 golds and no other medals). I would either just have it auto-filled to start the quiz or change the note to: "One entity is a former overseas territory that has since been absorbed into another country."

Also, not allowing USSR as a type-in for the Soviet Union is egregious.

Interesting, yeah I will look into a better way to handle that answer. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen another quiz that even mentions that particular territory, so wasn't sure how to approach

EDIT: I added a caveat to clarify it's an administrative division of a country and not its own sovereign nation, hopefully that will clear some of the confusion while not being so specific as to give away the answer!
