Small Cities with a Large Metro Area

USA Cities. What I mean is cities growth when switched to metro area (NYC 8M to 19M) in terms of percent. Example. If one grew from 1M to 2M, thats a 200% growth The reason I'm doing this is because boundaries are not a good indicator of how many people are there as it doesn't take suburbs into account
Only Metro Areas above 500K count
I may be missing some
