The island of Tasmania is over 68,000km2 and is larger than Sri Lanka. It is not part of the Australian mainland but is part of Australia. Australia should therefore be included in your list.

Incorrect. According to Wikipedia, Sri Lanka is 65,268 km², while Tasmania is only 65,022 km², so Australia shouldn't be on here.

68,000km² is the area of the entire state, not just the main island.
