I'd reckon that for the sake of consistency and how much the Qatar shade of maroon is close to purple more than it is close to red, that it should be corrected for this quiz. I do hope either the source is declared and the notion of something along the lines "One of the nations' flags involved here is considered maroon, which is a shade of Red."
Sorry! I wanted to include all 17 red and white countries and I usually have the same number of right answers as wrong answers, but do you think it would be better if I got rid of two answers to make it neater?
Qatar and Latvia are surely disputable. I left them for the end of the quiz. But those are still shades of red, yes. Qatar would be Bordeaux and Latvia, I don't know, some sort of carmine.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar here is the official flag description:
Design
The Qatari flag should be a horizontal rectangle consisting of two colours, ‘Al Adam’ (maroon) and white. When the flag is raised from the outside, the ‘Al Adam’ colour is free, and the white colour is the side that is adjacent to the mast. Between the two colours, there are nine isosceles triangles, so that the base of the triangles is in the white area facing the flag hoist, while their heads are located in the ‘Al Adam’ part towards the flag itself.
Colours
Qatar’s flag consists of two colours: white and ‘Al Adam’ (maroon) (Pantone # 1955 C).
If you look up that pantone color it's listed in the family "red"
I don't think so - the (featured) quiz source uses the flag without the coat of arms, so does the Flags of the World Quiz and Wikipedia (as the main - civil - flag).
Did the same thing and looked it up. The flag doesn't actually have the seal on it, at least according to Wikipedia [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peru]. Might this be a Mandela effect?
If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help before you publish it.
Also, any reason for Spanish in particular?

I think we can put this debate to bed now.
Once again, you are the voice of reason.
P.S. Latvia's two stripes are officially pantone 201 C, which is also listed as red.
