You accept Iran for Persian and Thailand for Siam why not Ethiopia for Abyssinia. As the Ottoman Empire dissolved in November of 1922 why not accept Turkey?

they bordered Spaain in Gibraltar, Liberia (via Sierra Leone), and I don't think sichuan was an independent state
