Was Rome ever conquered by the Romans? Wasn't the whole point of Rome that it was built by Romans?

Well I'm pretty sure Rome was actually the most conquered by the Romans out of the 4, between Sulla, Gaius Marius, Caesar, the 10 000 would be emperors of the 3rd century and then Bellisarius.
