The chieftain of the Petty-dwarves who first aided #2 in his building of Nargothrond. Expelled after he attempted to murder #2 in his sleep.

First King of Nargothrond. Later joined Beren in his quest for the Silmaril. He died defending Beren from a werewolf in Tol-in-Gaurhoth.

Father of #4 and #5.

At the sight of his brother's mangled corpse, he charged, beginning the battle of Nirnaeth Arnoediad. After 14 years as a captive slave of Morgoth in Angband, he escaped and later found and led #12 to Nargothrond

Brother of #4. Captured by Morgoth in the Dagor Bragollach, tortured and blinded. Later maimed and executed before the elven host, beginning the battle of Nirnaeth Arnoediad.

One of ten Elves who joined #2 on the quest for the Silmaril. Died in the dungeons of Tol-in-Gaurhoth, devoured by a werewolf,

Third son of Fëanor. Guest in Nargothrond, but tried to usurp the kingdom. He was exiled when #2's death was reported

A great wolfhound, given by Oromë to his friend #7. Abandoned his master to join Lúthien in the Quest for the Silmaril.

Fifth son of Fëanor. Guest in Nargothrond, but tried to usurp the kingdom. He was exiled when #2's death was reported

Son of #9. As a craftsman, he was second only to Fëanor, his grandfather. Joined his father as a guest in Nargothrond but he was not involved in his father's schemes. He did not follow his father and uncle in exile.

Nephew of #2. Regent and later King of Nargothrond; Killed at the Battle of Tumhalad, just before the fall of Nargothrond.

A man of the House of Hador. Led to Nargothrond by #4, where he was known as Agarwaen and Mormegil.

Daughter of #11 and sister of Gil-Galad. Betrothed to #4, but fell in love with #12.

Survivor of the Battle of Tumhalad, rushed back to Nargothrond after the battle with #12.
