Data is not clear cut, particularly with private and/or small brands. As a result, some states have multiple possible answers where data ranges overlap.

Rankings are based on total domestic U.S. system-wide retail food-service sales using data from the Technomic Top 500 Chain Restaurant Report and QSR Magazine where available.
