Wouldn't The Bronx be definitively hip hop and rap, NYC punk? Memphis could be the blues, different forms of country, early rock, r+b, all sorts of stuff other than rap.

New york and surrounding areas were not included because the largest majority of american genres are claimed by it so i gave rap, hip hop, and R&B to its runner ups. and i also tried to avoid repeats.
