This quiz feels inconsistent as some answers are fairly basic eg frog and others are very specific.

Thank you for your comment, and I understand what you are saying. The specific answers were the only way I could get certain letters of the alphabet in. If other people agree and its too complicated, I will take out some of the letters.

We don't have jackrabbits in the UK. I suggest Jackdaw. Also had to dig very deep to find kine as a word for a stoat - how about kestrel? Carp is surely easier than cuckoo wrasse? and muntjac better than marsh fritillary. Can't help you with XYZ though...
