The united Kingdom had legislative authority over Canada up until 1982. So yes while technically Canada became a Country in 1867, it wasn't until 1982 that Canada was granted complete control over laws passed within. Which is why the question was changed to "what year was the Canada Act signed.

Macdonald should be accepted for first PM. I felt pretty good as an American getting Macdonald. But I tried several different spellings before I tried John Macdonald. I got 11. The other 9 seem pretty obscure to me. But good quiz nonetheless.

Could go a little easier on the phrasing with, "The Conservative Party". Tried several variations - didn't work. OK quiz overall though.
