Nice quiz! So I'm guessing at least some of the longest air routes cross the Pacific right? Maybe for sake of a good svg you just showed the flight path if it went the other direction?

nope, cuz see none of the longest air routes are in Japan or Philippines. Cuz crossing the Pacific actually is much shorter than we think it is

Just went through the list and DFW-Melbourne crosses the Pacific. I presume there could be others as well.

Also, you say measured by the great circle distance "on this world map". Are you implying the arcs on your map follow the great circles? Because if so, they don't look like they do. For instance, NYC-Singapore arcs very far up
