Good Quiz, but what year is is based on? Or is every region that has ever been a part of the mughal empire? Interesting to note that they were never able to make inroads into Kashmir and Punjab, as they could not defeat the Sikh empire.
Basically, Indus valley civilization, Harappan civilization, Mahajanpadas, Magadha empire, spread of Buddhism and jainism, Mauryan empire, Satavahana dynasty, indo-greek rule, Kushan empire, Gupta empire, Chaluyka dynasty, Pallava dynasty, Pala dynasty, Chola empire, invasion of turkish rulers, forming of Delhi Sultanate including mamluks, khilji, tughlaqs etc, Central Asian invasion forming Mughal empire and then British East India Company.
And that small region in white is in odisha/jharkhand region under tribals groups like Munda tribe, konds/bhils etc which didn't fall to most of these kingdoms.
Other than Pinterest, I can't find any map which does not include that land within the empire or any information on what that land would be. Seems dubious at best
That's the tribal rebel groups who managed to not fall for majority of rulers and kingdoms which formed in india. These groups were The Munda, Khonds, Bhils, Ahoms of North East India. Santhals etc.
This is easier than The 7 Continents Map Quiz... and that shouldn't be possible for a Featured quiz. Idk why this is Featured. Honestly feels like a kick to the shin.
Of course the map is clean and well made, but a Feature is wild lol
JP users when the quiz isnt Countries, US States, Capitals, Elements, 100 Most Common Words: Starting with S on Thursday March 1st, at 5:40 in the Evening Color-Coded into a Playable Game with Tile Select and Bingo Minesweeper Wordle Scrable Sudden Death Click Quiz Part 2 Impossible Mode
Really? Really? This really needed to made a featured quiz? "Name four (4) major South Asian on a map." Dear Lord, man. This website has gone so far downhill from what it once was. Money ruins everything, and such, I s'pose.
i would complain about the fact the capitals of the world badge doesnt require you to know the world capitals wayyy before this quiz. also imo this quiz deserves featuring
if this quiz deserves Featuring, then I should have 1 million takes by now
the average score is literally 100%. there are quizzes with 300,000 takes that are just as easy as this. why aren't those Featured? Countries that Start With O is just as deserving of a Feature, because like this quiz, every single person who takes the quiz gets 100%. this quiz just so happens to have a beautifully-made map to basically give you the answers.
Featuring this is peak ragebait and im falling for it all the way. however, I still respect the quiz, even though its insanely easy and got Featured anyway. People nominated it (for some reason) so ig they all wanted free points. who doesnt want free points every now and then.
im just upset because im seeing crazy SVG wizardry and other amazing quiz ideas all around JetPunk that aren't close to being Featured, yet this quiz managed to get 150 nominations or smth. its crazy
I don't really think it makes sense to get mad at QM or Swat for this getting featured?
I mean there was a promise that quizzes that get to 150 nominations will get featured, with only a few exceptions for quizzes that might not function normally on all platforms like the jetpunk but it's a game quiz or one's that don't have content jetpunk would want to promote like the AP Brainrot quiz.
I don't think it's at all fair to call this ragebait, or that people were nominating it for easy points, tons and tons of quizzes have 7, 6, 5 even 4 answers, yes they are stupidly easy but not everything has to be hard as balls. This quiz has a nice svg and teaches people about an empire that most probably known nothing about.
If you want to blame the nominations system than go ahead but saying this is ragebait is beyond me.
@MasterRocket im not necessarily mad at QM or Swat. I'm more so mad at the guys who decided to nom this. Perhaps I'm being too harsh, but seeing quizzes like this struggle to get any attention at all just turns my gears.
I agree that the SVG Swat made is nice. The quiz linked above also has a nice SVG, and presents an actual challenge, at least more than this quiz does. Users don't need to know anything about the Mughal Empire to get 100% on this quiz. Maybe if there were capitals or specific questions for each country, then the quiz would be more reasonable.
Yeah, there are other easy Featured quizzes out there. But those actually help you learn something. As long as the user knows their countries with 100 million people + Afghanistan for kicks and giggles, and can type all 4 within 30 seconds, they get points, and learned absolutely nothing.
I'll end my quabble with this: I don't want to hate on Swat. They are very deserving of all their takes and make amazing quizzes that people love, clearly because this one got 155 noms. That's hella impressive and I probably won't ever do that myself.
Maybe i'm just coping, idk. I love Swat and the effort they put into their quizzes. It was nommed, and I can't really say anything about that.
I just wanted to argue against your point that people nom quizzes for easy points.
Very few people use nominations and I doubt people who care alot about points would even play many unfeatured quizzes or attempt to use the nominations system to help themselves far in the future.
This is a quiz by Swat, a well-known quizmaker and was created in 2020, during a time that nominations were still a new-ish feature that people wanted to use liberally. Also, these modern-day empire quizzes were way less common back then and it got a lot of steam off of that, sorta riding on the wings of other, larger quizzes. Once you know the context behind these quizzes, it being featured over 5 years later suddenly is not that weird.
What I don't get are these angry and even spiteful comments. There are a bunch of quizzes of the same caliber: map quizzes that only have a few answers that were only featured through time (like this and this). Yet none of them have people whining that a quiz people nominated got featured. Very odd thing to see.
I feel like nominations have only become a way for people to congratulate quizzes that are very impressive on a technical scale and only play them if they get featured. These types of quizzes have blown up in the past couple of years, and when this quiz was created, this was the high standard. It only shows how much JetPunkers, and the site itself, have improved and evolved. If a quiz that has been quietly sitting for years on the nominations leaderboard getting featured is now considered unfair then people have sadly lost their priorities. People yell that they don't care about takes and features as long as they make others happy, until there suddenly is a reason to be mad at others.
QM's been pretty explicit over the years that he's started featuring easier and easier quizzes because they do better and thus generate more ad revenue. Before I'd realized the was featured by nominations (which I'd argue is still a product of the same perverse incentives that have had this site rolling downhill for the past 10-ish years), I'd assumed this was the culmination of that mentality.
Glad to see you liked this one.
What's the little area towards north-east India that's not included BTW?
And that small region in white is in odisha/jharkhand region under tribals groups like Munda tribe, konds/bhils etc which didn't fall to most of these kingdoms.
I nominated
Tribals probably
Of course the map is clean and well made, but a Feature is wild lol
But hey, it was earned if so.
but anyway that quiz was very outdated and niche, should have been given an update

Regardless I'll leave this aswell.
