There is a little controversy here which may need amending with regards to the spelling of raccoon, as it may be spelt with or without the double 'c'. Great quiz though.

I agree with the previous comment. The question should be RCCN, with the single C option available for those using an alternative spelling, rather than the other way around. Raccoon is a far more common spelling than Racoon.

Apparently at one point the spelling even was rarowcun! And the origin of the word for raccoon comes from "animal that scrubs with his hands" Very interesting. In many language indeed they have a name that refers to their washing things with their paws as they are known to do

Love these quizzes, just to point out, Only Connect uses Y in its Missing Vowels round.

Feels a bit disingenous to omit it here. (The average folk don't class Y as a vowel as this depends on context)
