Good idea though it seems to me that you have omitted many significant ones - Boston, Cambridge and Rochester spring to mind.

Good idea though it seems to me that you have omitted considering that you could ask questions before assuming another person's intentions and implying their ignorance/neglectfulness. As easy as "Why no Boston?"

Cambridge has always been on this quiz. And obviously the quiz is not meant to be exhaustive.

This quiz is not about US cities you know that happen to have been named after places in the UK.

For this quiz, I have chosen two or more places that are _both_ populous, prominent, or otherwise well-known in my opinion (because it is my quiz). I have also selected which cities to include so as to provide more variety of states and countries.

But thank you for deciding that my quiz, which I did actually put a lot of work and thought into, should actually be a different quiz.

You are welcome to make your own quiz if you don't like this one. Perhaps "The Biggest Cities in the US Named After UK Places," as it appears that you assume that was the quiz I was trying to make but failed.
