Methodology:

Merchant marine size and population data was taken from the CIA World Factbook on 20 October 2024. The data was imported into a spreadsheet, and a vertical lookup function was used to match population data to fleet data. The number of ships was divided by the population and then multiplied by one million. Only countries which are considered sovereign nations by JetPunk were included in the quiz, and territories such as Greenland were excluded entirely.

I have no clue, honestly.

Luxembourg has territory on the Moselle, but as far as I can tell it has no ports that could serve any large ships. I do know that they allow registry for pretty much all EU nations, so I wouldn't be surprised if their ships just weren't registered at a specific port.

Liechtenstein doesn't even have that, and as far as I can tell it definitely doesn't have any ships. Still, the CIA claims that it does, so I'm not quite sure what to do.

According to the International Register of Shipping. Mongolia has one ship (the Lucky Star 13) registered in Ulaanbaatar (as of November last year). I'm not sure where the rest of their fleet is.

It's quite possible that the CIA is inventing fictional ships, but I'm going to assume they have some other source I don't know about (partially because having these three countries on this quiz is funny.
