ROC should not be an acceptable answer for Taiwan Province. Official Jetpunk typein accepts ROC for Taiwan because nowadays Taiwan is a short name for Republic of China. But back in 1946, ROC was China itself and Taiwan was just a province of ROC.

The second problem is that, Peiping or Beiping, now called Beijing, should be an accepted typein. Beijing literally means northern capital in Chinese, but the capital of ROC in 1946 was Nanjing. Back then Beijing was called Peiping (also spelled as Beiping in pinyin). Beiping was not renamed Beijing until 1949, when communists founded PRC and chose Beijing as capital (however Nanjing still kept its name as "southern capital"). The ROC (Taiwan) government has never recognized this act of renaming before the end of the Cold War.

Special Muncipalities of ROC are called 院轄市(Yuanxiashi) before 1994 when ROC (Taiwan) changed the name into 直轄市(Zhixiashi), the same as PRC. In 1946 these cities are still called 院轄市.
