Politburo Standing Committees of the CCP (1977-1992)
This covers the 11th, 12th, and 13th Politburo Standing Committees of the Chinese Communist Party. In 1977, Hua Guofeng was still Paramount Leader of China. However by 1978, Deng Xiaoping outmaneuvered Hua and ascended as the new Paramount Leader until his resignation from the Party Chairmanship of the Central Military Commission in 1989. However, Deng still wielded considerable political influence as he successfully able to push for greater economic reforms through his Southern Tour in 1992
Note on 1989: After the Tiananmen Square Protests, two members of the PSC were removed and were replaced by three new members
*He was removed from his position of General Secretary, but was still elected to the Politburo in 1987, albeit with a much more reduced role until his death in 1989
