This is not a comprehensive list. Princelings or 太子党 (Taizidang) are descendants of important government officials of the People's Republic of China. During much of the history of the People's Republic, princelings often used their influence to escape corruption charges such as during the Deng Xiaoping era, when Hu Yaobang and Zhao Ziyang were unable to charge any of the children of Party Elders for corruption. In addition, they are often criticized for nepotism such as in the case of Mao Zedong's grandson, who was made the youngest major general of the PLA in 2009
