Amon's Terran forces then attempt to blow up this orbital defense platform in order to destroy Korhal's capital city. However Artanis and Raynor manage to stop this from happening

Arriving just in time to Glacius, Artanis extracts this piece of technology from the planet. Upon activating it, it turns out to be a sentient machine who thinks he is deceased Protoss hero who died in the previous game

Wanting answers, Artanis travels to the planet Ulnar to see if any other beings of this ancient race are still alive. Before entering the temple, Artanis' forces fight off the Tal'darim defending it

Inside the temple, Artanis encounters this Zerg, who was on Ulnar to find a way to kill Amon. After fighting through Amon's forces, the two discover that all of the beings are dead

Predicting that the two would come to Ulnar, Amon opens up a portal to the Void in an attempt to kill both of them. But this Tal'darim warns the Artanis' forces just in time to save both of them

In return the above wants Artanis to help him take over the Tal'darim, believing that Amon betrayed them. However, he would have to kill this Protoss, who is the leader of the Tal'darim

With Artanis' help, the Guardian of the Tal'darim leader are killed and the leader is challenged to this ritual, where the winner would become the new leader and the loser will die. This results in the death of the current leader

Artanis sends his forces to the planet of Endion, to destroy the shield generator protecting this space station, which houses the above faction. After fighting off Amon's forces, Artanis reactivates the warriors and gets them to support him against Amon

On the asteroid belt of Revanscar, Artanis and Karax destroy the main Terran facility, which is where the these powerful experiments are created

Stopping Amon

Artanis then returns back to Aiur with more forces to liberate the planet. Amon then attempts to manifest himself in a host body over the corpse of the Zerg Overmind. In order to prevent Amon from achieving this, Artanis has to destroy these pillars, which powered Amon's attempt

Using the weapon they acquired on Korhal, Artanis' forces hold out until it is charged enough to be used to severe all of the corrupted protoss from Amon. In order to stop Artanis, Amon sends this now corrupted famous Protoss fleet against Artanis

The Protoss, Zerg, and Terran forces then proceed to the entrance of the above dimension to destroy Amon after learning from a mysterious voice that he is not actually dead. The combined armies then move in the direction of the voice, finding out that its source is imprisoned by this thought to be dead Xel'naga shapeshifter
