Yellow Fever was a dangerous disease that killed many people for several years.

Gingivitus is when you haven't brushed your teeth and your gums are 'dying'. It can be deadly as well.

Gout is a common and painful form of inflammatory arthritis caused by an excess of uric acid in the body

I suffer from Gout occasionally, usually if I eat rich foods such as liver, or pate. It can be very painful, I try to avoid any of those foods.
