General American English consonants (IPA) - sudden death
- Narrow transcription (i.e. [r] means the voiced alveolar trill, not the approximant)
- Common allophones of English consonants (ʋ, ɾ, ɦ, ʎ, ʟ) are not included
- ʍ is not included because some southerners still haven't undergone the wine-whine merger
- Rolling your r's doesn't count as an allophone because no general american english speaker naturally talks like that
- The glottal stop is included because "uh-oh" is basically a word
- Affricates aren't included because they're too confusing and they can basically be counted as a stop + a fricative
