Arabic (Masri) is the main language of Egypt today. But it's completely different from the Egyptian language that was spoken in various forms for 4000 years from the Old Kingdom period through the Middle Ages. It's a dead language now, but the most recent form, Coptic, is still used as a liturgical language by the Coptic Orthodox Church.

if you meant Coptic by "Egyptian", could you edit that? Or if you meant "Ancient Egyptian", adding that instead of vague "Egyptian" could be helpful. It's very confusing now. Thanks!

I got everything right besides some Niger-Congo languages because the ''which may be a part of a broader Niger-Congo family'' thing confused me

Sorry, I had to satisfy the pedants. Authorities disagree on whether the Atlantic–Congo languages are a top-level family, or a branch of a larger Niger–Congo family. Fortunately, none of the languages that are part of Niger–Congo but not part of Atlantic–Congo are in this quiz.
