Infantry Regiments of The Indian Army

- Regular Infantry Regiments, Rifles, Scouts, Light Infantry (LI), Airborne and Mechanised Infantry Regiments are included. - Numbered regiments having the same base name are treated as separate entities (e.g. 1 GR and 5 GR are two different regiments). - Typing "Regiment" isn't required (e.g. "Jat" and "Jat Regiment" are treated indifferently). - Abbreviations are accepted (e.g. "JAK LI" for "Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry"). - Shortened versions are accepted (e.g. "Para" for "Parachute Regiment", and "Maratha LI" for "Maratha Light Infantry"). - Nicknames can also be entered for some regiments (e.g. "Malaun" for "1 Gorkha Rifles (The Malaun Regiment)").
