Raider DB Jack Tatum delivered such vicious hits (he paralyzed NE WR Daryl Stingley in a pre-season game) that his nickname was the "Assassin".

WR Fred Bilitnekoff was a Hall of Famer and MVP of Super Bowl XI, and was known of his use of copious amounts of stick'em.

Super Bowl II QB, Daryl Lamonica had the nickname "Mad Bomber".

And in the 70's the Raiders had the nickname the "Pride & Poise Boys"
