Interesting concept. Unfortunately, and I hate to nitpick, but West Germany is not a former country. It's definitely a historical common name for modern Germany, but the current Federal Republic of Germany is a direct uninterrupted continuation of it, only having annexed the eastern German Democratic Republic as additional states.
