La Paz is in Bolivia, which is in South America.

There is also a major city called La Paz in Mexico. It’s the largest city in Baja California.

But given your comment in the instructions, since the La Paz in Bolivia is far more well-known, would it not be better to substitute a different N American city?

Regardless, La Paz is still a major city in Mexico with a population of almost 300,000 people and is a major city in that specific state. That being said, I’ve changed it to a different city in Mexico just to avoid confusion.
