Umlauts are diacritical marks which indicate a change in the sound of a vowel. Can you name all the major languages which use umlauts - ä, ö, and ü? An example of a word with an umlaut is given as a clue for each language.
Not including languages that use two dots as a diæresis to seperate the vowel sounds (eg: Chloë or Noël)
