1. But glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek.

2. Your Lord did not abandon you, nor did He forget. And the Hereafter is better for you than the First.

3. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal.

4. You shall not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.

5. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

6. Those who believe, and those who are Jewish, and the Christians, and the Sabeans"”any who believe in God and the Last Day, and act righteously"”will have their reward with their Lord; they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

7. And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire.

8. In their footsteps, We sent Jesus son of Mary, fulfilling the Torah that preceded him; and We gave him the Gospel, wherein is guidance and light, and confirming the Torah that preceded him, and guidance and counsel for the righteous.

9. We created man in the best design.

10. Woe to those who call evil good, And good evil. Who put darkness for lightand light for darkness.[...]Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine, and valiant men in mixing strong drink.

11. For if a wife will not cover her head, then she should cut her hair short. But since it is disgraceful for a wife to cut off her hair or shave her head, let her cover her head.

12. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

13. Your Lord has commanded that you worship none but Him, and that you be good to your parents.

14. But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

15. Do the disbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were one mass, and We tore them apart? And We made from water every living thing. Will they not believe?
