Cryptic Smash Quiz - Life before Smash

The answers to this quiz rely on knowledge of the characters as they are known outside of Smash. You will be given hints for a random selection of 60 characters, taken from a pool of 112. For the purpose of this quiz, "characters" means:

- Characters from the playable roster, and characters contained in those movesets. So both Olimar and each of his Pikmin appear separately. Characters only in taunts and win animations don't feature, like Morgana or Rex. No characters from assist trophies or other items, stage elements, spirits, etc. No Rayquaza, Samurai Goroh, K.K. Slider, James McCloud, etc.

- Roster characters that are actually the same person are just one character here. So there is Mario, but no Dr. Mario. Sheik is in though, so that's an exception. The 3 Links are all separate people, of course. Roster characters that are singular in game but actually multiple characters in their lore are separate characters here. So Pyra and Mythra are separate, and so are Pokemon Trainer and their 3 pokemon.

- Gender swaps are just one character here. So, only one Byleth.
