Note that Sweden's figure is unrealistic and more people could have emigrated due to crop failures and climate change.

I have no clue, honestly. My only theory is that several famines struck Sweden throughout the 14th century which was catastrophic because it was already hard to grow crops in Sweden due to the cold weather.
