The only one that I missed that I might have been able to guess was Maui. The other ones I hadn't heard of before. I would have put in Chincoteague. Maybe Key Largo.

This time I missed "Martha's Vineyard" I think because I spelled it "vinyard"

Also, are Saipan and St. Croix candidates? They're American territories...

St. John and St. Thomas are also USVI's, not just St. Croix so they should all be here.

Their both small, but Block Island and Mount Desert Island (Home to Acadia National Park) could be on here.

Mount Desert is relatively well known as home to much of Acadia N.P. and Bar Harbor to most Americans, but the crowd would.complain if anything too American is on an American quiz site in the English language and the admins are probably just plain tired of babysitting that noise.

All because I can't spell vineyard. Jeez...I tried Martha's Vinyard and when that didn't work just moved on to other guesses.

Was just on Mackinac a couple weeks ago. Private passenger cars aren't allowed, but motorized vehicles are. I saw an ambulance and a few construction vehicles. Not saying this is a bad thing--if I were seriously injured, I'd much rather be in a modern ambulance than a horse-drawn carriage. And I think the construction vehicles were only allowed to be there because it wasn't the height of the season yet.

That may have something to do with knowing exactly how to spell it. I struggled to find the correct spelling of Isle and almost gave up before I remembered that there was an e at the end of Royal.

No chance that people are getting "Mackinac" right more often than anything else due to of ease of spelling.
