A topological map is a type of diagram that has been simplified so that only vital information, such as borders, remains and unnecessary detail, such as size and shape, has been removed.
Fill in this map of Asia by correctly guessing each highlighted country.
Does not include island nations except those touching other mainland countries (i.e. Brunei)
The black areas represent large bodies of water
If two countries have the exact same borders (i.e., Nepal and Bhutan), make your decision based on general geography (e.g., Nepal is closer to Pakistan)
Maybe you could give a help for the distinction between PNG and East Timor? As far as I see it, it is not really covered by the hint for Nepal/Bhutan. Apart from that, I really love the quiz. Thank you!
You're right, the distinction is pretty arbitrary, but I would just base it on the fact that PNG is further East than East Timor, so it must be the shape on the right. I'll try to think of a way to make this more clear though. Thanks!
I got them right but for me Uzbekistan and Tajikistan took a bit longer, I left them till last, it clicked after only 1 or 2 seconds, but I didn't immediately "see" it like with the others (those somehow feel like on a normal map to me, probably in part to do with (un)familiarity of the region)
