The main disagreement in July 1951, when the two sides sat down to discuss peace terms, was the issue of prisoners of ___ (POWs).

Approximately 130,000 soldiers who held this type of radical ideology were held in the South, and they had been given the option to remain there. Half of them accepted.

Whereas in the North, conditions were appalling as half of US POWs died in this season of 1950/1951.
