Fun Fact: Ryu is the only Super Smash Bros. character who originally came from a fighting game.

Don't know why Punch-Out! shouldn't be counted as a fighting game. Just because it's not multiplayer? Or because it's not in the Street Fighter mold, with a side-on view and sequential inputs for special moves?
