Interesting how closely Jin corresponds to modern South Korea's borders.

It's really close. Its borders stretch a bit further north however.

This is really interesting and well made! I knew very few of these but it felt all the more rewarding when I guessed correctly.

Nice quiz! But also, were there really no civilizations in Sub-Saharan Africa or South America (like the Andes) by this point? Or is it just that, if there were, we are unaware of them (due to, for example, the use of oral history instead of written records in these places)?

Likely both, but I couldn't find any further information for these regions. It's also very likely that there were more entities / states in Mesoamerica than shown here.

Very good quiz, but I don't see why you have separated Magadh and the Mauryan empire.

Several sources don't show Magadha as being conquered by the Mauryas yet by 320 BC.

I guessed Jin whilst trying to fill China, didn't expect that to color in a chunk of Korea

Thank you for making this! I’m so glad to see Teng here, which is my hometown. It was this small weak state during the period which this map is based on, and it got annexed by the other Chinese states very soon after this, and become merely a city since then. No one gives it attention now, so it was quite surprising to see it here!
