Stockfish is a very highly rated open-source chess engine, and is widely used and respected in the chess community. However, it is not as well-known to the general public as Deep Blue, which made headlines for defeating world champion Garry Kasparov in 1997, and is often considered a landmark achievement in the development of artificial intelligence.
