Shouldnt it be "the" pharaoh? Now it looks like you are looking for a personal name, not a title. (Or am I showing my ignorance here and was it like the name Caesar before it became a title?)

The Old Testament generally always just called him Pharaoh. I think it’s a Hebrew linguistic thing.

It is like someone calling Donald Trump "Mr. President". People can call him that now, and people have called 44 other people with that office by that title in the past. You can also see it in the New Testament, (which was written in Greek, not Hebrew) as the person holding the office of caesar is simply referred to as "Caesar" in verses such as Mark 12:17. Calling someone by a title instead of a name is even something done by many people around the world today, most notably with one's own parents and/or grandparents. You might be talking to your brother and say "Mom told me to explain linguistics to people on the internet, so I can't help you right now.". Then, despite your clear lack of priorities, you would still be understood, and your speech wouldn't be out of the ordinary.
