Thank you for your comment. For this quiz, I had to choose 50 notorious rivers and this choice was obviously subjective. But if you want more, try my "100 rivers" version, you will find Sao Francisco River there ;)

For me Sao Francisco is notorious, and Madeira is not :). Great quiz, nominated.

Maybe Madeira River is indeed not so famous, but it is a verry important river, the first tributary of the Amazon in terms of length and discharge. (Twice the discharge of Mississippi!) It's why I wanted to put it here.

For the Sao Fransisco, I hesitate with 3 or 4 other rivers, but finally decided not to keep it, even if I know it's necessarily an arbitrary choice. I hope you still enjoyed it!

Great quiz, nominated. I have been trying to get all 100 on your harder version, but this was a nice smaller test. A random version (50 of the 100) would be amazing if you were up for the challenge!

Can you accept Syr and Amu for Syr Darya and Amu Darya? Darya just means river
