If Iceland's geothermal power use was scaled up to service the population of the USA it would be easily be first with 643 Gigawatts (or about 531 Deloreans)

Volcanoes aren't usually directly used for geothermal power. Geothermal energy can be sourced from relatively near the surface. Volcanoes are just a good rule of thumb for places with high activity and that have more heat in the ground.

Given that I know nothing about geothermal energy or where it is used, I was pretty happy to get 7/10. Also, I'm perpetually impressed by Jetpunk users, this time for knowing that Iceland of all places produces a lot of geothermal power.
