County Seats Of Massachusetts

All of the Commonwealth Of Massachusetts is divided into municipalities and county government has only a ceremonial role where counties still exist.
*These counties have been abolished, but the U.S. Census Bureau still uses them for statistical purposes. Only the 6 southeastern counties remain under state law.
