When you put the state abbreviation after the city name it doesn’t allow you to type just the city name.

Um, no they're not, the first caveat says this quiz is using metro areas (almost always higher than city limits), defined by the Census Bureau. Granted that data is 5 years old now, but it's still roughly accurate.
